Fear in our hearts

So Saturday was our first vacation day.
Bryant was to go to grammy & Grampy's,
to prepare for his favorite cousins to arrive.
Steve & I had tickets to see the new Batman movie.
It seemed like just another day.
It was a beautiful day.
We brought B for a haircut & then met up with Grammy.
All seemed fine.
They were on their merry way
and we were too just a few cars behind
(Luckily!)
Because, moments later
she was parked on the side of the road and flagging us down.
She yelled "it's Bryant! it's Bryant!"
It was all kind of a fog.
We ran to the car.
Bryant had thrown up and was passed out.
I thought he had had a seizure.
Steve called 911.
They were there in like 2 minutes.
So thankful for the Hudson police, fire dept & ambulatory crew.
They were calm & amazing.
Bryant was awake & notibly frightened,
but still only partially responding.
They quickly got him in the ambulance.
Steve went with them.
Mom & I followed.
Yeah we drove.
I don't know how.
When we got there he was still upset,
but visibly coherant.
Once he was calm and they had gotten enough fluids in him
via an IV,
they said he could go home.
So what happened I asked.
They were not sure.
Could be something he ate.
Could be dehydration.
Could be the heat.
Not sure,
but scary for us.
My poor baby boy.
We are still scared.
Trying to act normal.
Asking him every five seconds,
Are you okay?
How are you feeling?
Make sure you drink your water.
Maybe over doing it?
I don't think so.
Following up with his physician ASAP.
Bryant is not thrilled.
He just wants it to be over with.
I don't blame him.
But, we just gotta be sure that all is well.

Let's hope the rest of the week.
will be less eventful.

Officially we will be starting our vacation ,
tomorrow.
